Bruce Lewis



Bruce Lewis is an American writer, artist, author, and voice actor who has worked in the U.S, manga and anime industry since 1993. He is the author of two books, including his most recent, Draw Manga: How To Draw Manga In Your Own Unique Style (2005; Anova/Collins & Brown, ISBN 1-84340-188-6). His writing has also been published in a variety of magazines, including Animage, Animerica, Anime UK, Anime FX, Wizard, Manga Max and Pulp.

His television credits include storyboards for Universal's Wing Commander Academy series (1995) and a animation teleplay (Kodocha, Episode #32, "Father! You Were Arrested!", Funimation, 2004). As a voice actor, he has performed in Aquarian Age for ADV Films, and in various episodes of Beck, Black Cat, Ragnarok, and Witchblade for Funimation Productions.

Bruce Lewis has been a frequent guest of many anime conventions in the U.S., including Anime Weekend Atlanta, A-Kon, Anime Central, OhayoCon, Ushi-Con, AtsuiCon, YamiCon, Oni-Con, JAFAX, SugoiCon,TekkoshoCon, Anime East, and of course AnimeFest. He was Fansview.com's "Anime Convention Personality of the Week" for March 12, 2000, and is cited in Frederik R. Schodt's Dreamland Japan and Antonia Levi's Samurai In Outer Space.

He is currently a trends analyst and writer for a major Japanese corporation.
